What is the Cobalt RaQ XTR?
The RaQ XTR is the ideal server appliance for service providers
delivering or hosting content-rich, interactive Web sites or other
complex software applications requiring a sophisticated back-end
infrastructure.
Built with performance improvements that address the continued
growth in the number of service customers and new market
requirements, the RaQ XTR is deployable as a dedicated or virtual
hosting platform. Either option is available with up to 4
front-removable 30GB hard drives and supports RAID 0,1, or 5
software technology ensuring site and data integrity in the event
of disk failure. The RAID feature also increases storage capacity
and provides faster data access.
To support new world eCommerce and other private services, the
RaQ XTR is pre-configured with 128-bit SSL support and SSH for
secure telnet connections.
Powerful and Simple to Use
The RaQ XTR incorporates easy-to-use Web-based administration,
made famous as Cobalt's Server Desktop. A graphical user interface
enhances the customer experience, dramatically reducing screen
display time. A critical new feature called "Super
Admin," allows service providers to maintain control of
dedicated systems, even if the system administration password is
changed by the customer.
The RaQ XTR server appliance automatically sets the Domain Name
System (DNS) server configuration. Simply click a single on-screen
button in the DNS configuration menu and the DNS is automatically
updated for each new or modified virtual site.
The RaQ XTR software architecture was designed to make the
deployment of new layered services as easy as clicking a button,
meaning you can integrate new applications to fit your needs. The
Cobalt BlueLinQ™ Application Delivery Service system gives
customers instant access to updates and services as they are
